Krista Wright
Witness member Krista Wright is a native of Kingsport, Tenn., who now makes her home in Portland, Tenn. She is the daughter of fellow group member, Betty Sircy. Krista has two beautiful children, a daughter Savannah and a son Spencer.
Krista comes from a musical family. “When we visit my Mom’s family in East Tennessee, we sit around the piano and sing for hours.” She loves Southern Gospel music, and cites as her musical influences Candy Hemphill, Sonya Isaacs and The Isaacs. She also likes Dottie Rambo and Vestal Goodman.
She feels that being a part of Witness is something special. “To have the support of our families, and to get along with each other the way we do, I know that God put us together. He has truly blessed our ministry. The biggest compliment we receive is when someone says we are anointed.”
Krista feels she speaks for the entire group when she says, “Our CD, Bringing Back the King, is truly our motto. If we can touch one life and turn one person on to God, then we have done our job as Witness. We definitely sing to glorify God and to spread the Gospel through song. Our second CD, Turn Your Faith On, really says that all we need is that mustard seed-size faith and God will provide.”
Hobbies: Scrap booking, flower gardening, walking the dogs, playing with her kids, reading and playing on eBay
Favorite restaurants: Outback, El Chico’s, Chili’s and any pizza place
